We also ask our clients to come here and visit. You can expect to meet your “boss” in real life – they’ve come on retreats with us, ate with us, played games with us, and raced gokarts with us (but we didn’t let them win!)
This is not your typical “offshore accounting team.”
We have many roles and levels of responsibility that you can progress through. These include:
Our bookkeepers manage the entire client accounting system from soup to nuts. They’re part of the client’s team, having direct contact with the client on a regular basis. Our clients trust that our bookkeepers will do things on a timely basis and get it right the first time.
As a bookkeeper you are the lifeblood of our service delivery. When the books are wrong or not up to date the entire business (both ours and our clients’) feels the pain. Not only are you the one with regular contact with the client, you’re the front line decision maker and see the most detail. Your “eagle eyes” are essential to us and our clients. Your efficiency and accuracy will be what make you stand out from others – we have high standards here!
In short – you’re responsible for ensuring that the bookkeeping is up to date and complete at all times. You’ll be working on a number of clients each month, with many of them being worked on every single week, ensuring that everything is up to date and that issues don’t go too long before being resolved. We anticipate regular contact with clients (both email and zoom). Our main “deliverable” will be a complete month-end close and published reports – ensuring that all accounts are properly reconciled. Each client is also assigned an accountant who will work closely with you supervising your work and ensuring that all compliance functions (such as sales tax returns, annual accounts and tax returns) are completed on time.
We want our clients to see you (and the rest of our team) as an essential part of their business team – not like outsiders. We want to take stress and pressure off them so that they can focus on running their business better – and the role of the bookkeeper is key to that goal. This is not just number crunching – this is customer service with excellence.
We provide full training and development, so if you don’t have all of these experiences, don’t worry. We’ll start you in our training programme and gradually get you up to speed. Your first few months will be in training and gaining experience – working closely with other members of our team. Once you have proven your skills and aptitude you will be assigned your own clients. Candidates who already have experience as a bookkeeper will still go through our training and mentorship program (we’re very particular about the process and how we do things around here, and sometimes have to correct bad habits you’ve picked up from others), but if you’ve got what it takes then you’ll sail through it faster. We’re looking to develop you into a bookkeeping ninja! Expert in the accounting tools, excellent in client service, and fast in your ability to keep things up to date.
Some of the other tools that we work with every day include:
To thrive in this role you will love the repetition of serving a stable group of clients every month, while cherishing the diversity of problem solving that comes with it. You’ll be an independent worker that loves the feeling of getting things done and checking off tasks and deadlines. While you’ll probably enjoy working on your own, you will also welcome the support and engagement of our wider team. Communication and English language skills will be excellent.
Our accountants are responsible for all aspects of delivering service to their clients. They supervise and review the work of bookkeepers, create and send management reports to clients with value-added comments, and ensure that all the compliance requirements are completed on time. This includes Sales Tax Returns, formal Annual Accounts, Income Tax Returns, and more.
Accountants communicate directly with clients, answering questions, solving problems, and helping the clients manage and understand their accounting process. You’re the go-to person for the client when there’s something that needs to be done outside of the day-to-day bookkeeping. There’s a lot of routine, but also a lot of variety and we regularly get new things to do.
In short – you’re responsible for all the filings and “big picture” things for our clients. Deadlines are your jam! You will have a number of clients that you service regularly and will be expected to manage various deadlines and simultaneous tasks.

We want to take stress and pressure off them so that they can focus on running their business better – and the role of the accountant is key to that goal. You help them sleep better at night knowing that they won’t miss a deadline! This is not just number crunching – this is customer service with excellence.

Your first few months will be in training and gaining experience – working closely with other members of our team. We expect that ALL our accounting staff would be ninja bookkeepers – you can’t review and supervise what you can’t do yourself. We’ve found that many people who have worked as an “accountant” before don’t actually have the necessary experience or knowledge that we expect. So we start all our accountants in our basic training programme. If you don’t have experience in bookkeeping it may be more appropriate that you start at the bookkeeper level, master this skill, and then develop into the accountant role as you progress. Please don’t see this as a bad thing – we have VERY high standards and are committed to developing people so that they can provide EXCELLENT service to our clients. We’ll discuss this with you as part of the process.

Our client support specialists are the hub of our practice. They provide support to our accountants and bookkeepers, manage our internal systems and love helping our clients and our team. The work is filled with lots of small tasks and very varied – no two days will be the same.
You’ll be following up with clients, monitoring tasks for our team, updating our records, preparing files for data entry, supporting our clients, and lots more.
In short – you’re a ninja at keeping the small things going! You get things done so that everyone else can stay focussed on their main jobs. This is not office admin – this practice efficiency.
To thrive in this role you will love the variety of completing tasks. You’ll thrive in a dynamic and changing environment. You’ll look for work that can help others rather than wait to be told what to do. You’re not happy until the job is done – tasks completed is more important than the number of tasks in progress. You’ll be an independent worker that loves the feeling of getting things done and checking off tasks and deadlines. While you’ll probably enjoy working on your own, you will also welcome the support and engagement of our wider team. Communication and English language skills will be excellent.
Our onboarding specialists are our front line of defense with new clients. We’re not thinking of soldiers here – but ninjas that ensure that our new clients have an AMAZING customer experience and that everything gets done with excellence and speed, and then disappear without a trace when the work is finished.
You’ll be researching, cleaning up books, converting systems, integrating applications and other tools, setting up internal processes, and lots more.
In short – you’re responsible for ensuring that new clients get embedded into our process and culture and feel great about the process. This is not administration – this is client service.
To thrive in this role you will love the excitement of pulling together a mess of threads and creating something beautiful and clean (in terms of bookkeeping and systems). You’ll thrive in a dynamic and changing environment. You’ll think in terms of systems and processes. You’re not happy until the job is done well and someone else has taken it over. You’ll be an independent worker that loves the feeling of getting things done and checking off tasks and deadlines. While you’ll probably enjoy working on your own, you will also welcome the support and engagement of our wider team. Communication and English language skills will be excellent.
Our tax specialists are our tax ninjas – if it has a form number, you know about it! You cherish staying up to date with the ever-changing rules and take pride in a clean file with no questions.
You’ll be reviewing returns prepared by others, preparing more complex returns, assisting with tax planning and advanced tax matters.
In short – you’re responsible for ensuring that our clients’ tax returns are right the first time so that they can sleep easy at night! This is not your Dad’s boring tax accountant – this is dynamic and exciting tax work.
To thrive in this role you will love the excitement of filing a return on time (oh that sweet, sweet feeling)! You’ll thrive in a dynamic and changing environment. You’ll be an independent worker that loves the feeling of getting things done and checking off tasks and deadlines. Our executive assistants are our “chief baby sitters.” We’re not talking about babies in nappies crawling around on the floor – they’re grown men and women, but sometimes they act like they’re crawling around on the floor.
You’ll be providing one-on-one support to our senior client management (the client Directors and Coaches). Your work will involve managing email, calendars, scheduled tasks, random tasks, following up, reminding, nagging and sometimes even chastising them! I won’t say that it’s an easy job – but you’ll laugh a lot (and maybe even cry every now and them) as you help your client run a successful accounting practice. You’ll be their right hand person.
In short – you’re responsible for keeping your “boss” on the straight and narrow, productive and smiling (no mean feat)! This is not your old secretary – this is business support (and a bit of baby sitting).

Our technology specialists are our “geeks in residence” and proud of it. We’re not thinking of people with pocket protectors and bucked teeth here – we’re thinking of business professionals excited about learning new tools, training others, and helping businesses improve their business and profitability through technology and process improvement.
You’ll be researching new tools, creating integrations, massaging data and training others. Some of your work is experimental – we’re always looking to know what’s in the market. Some of your work will be direct for clients – helping implement new systems. Some of your time will be working with our team to create better processes and integration of accounting data.
In short – you’re responsible for keeping us and our clients on the bleeding edge of technology. You’ll add value directly to clients as well as to our team. This is not tech support – this is business improvement.
